The camping trip was amazing! Perhaps the best ever. The location was excellent. We were right on the banks of beautiful Keen river with a very private area that we had all to ourselves. Antakashari went on for hours, food was outstanding and there were so many activities including boating, horseback riding, swimming, fishing and some campers even went to the casino! Some of the meals were catered similar to last year. For the second year in a row, the Rathod Family did the Chulha party. They dig a hole in the ground and build the Chulha into it. Absolutely fantastic! It took 4 hours to cook a full goat and only about 15 minutes to eat it. Many first time campers and 5 new RANA members. RANA is growing!
The Youth Convention was a huge success with 86 youth delegates attending in Chicago. Our Chapter youth were very active including Ambika as Convener, Trisha as Chairperson, Janki as General Secretary, MC Jamie and Speaker Versha. Chicago biradari were wonderful hosts. Many new bonds were made and it was a very positive environment.
The youth convention has created positive momentum for the upcoming November Family Convention.
