We are happy to announce that this year’s camping trip will be the biggest ever!  We have 27 families already paid and registered.  This does not include dozens of people that are expected to attend for day trips including RANA members that were part of the original campers group that havent been active in recent years.  We have families from 10 different states in the US and 1 family from Dubai.  This is turning into a mini-convention.  We very much appreciate the enthusiastic participation of those attending.  We have an action packed adventure planned.

Registration will only be available for another day or so.  If you have not done so, please do so as soon as possible since we need to finalize the camp site and final food arrangements need to be made.  You can register and pay by credit card at www.RANA-NJ.org  Also, please visit www.mountaincreekcamping.com/ for information regarding the campground.  We do have 1 more cabin left for “Glampers”.  Many families that are coming for day trips are staying in hotels.  Although most hotels are sold out, there is some availability at the Days Inn in South Carlisle.  Its inexpensive, $89 per day.

President Dilipsinh Rathod will kick off Untackchariy and Karaoke with a Kishore Kumar song.  No doubt, the video cameras will be out.
Sadhna Singh has promised to break a coconut, as the hope is for no rain.

Attached please find information regarding the upcoming RANA Business Conference. Last year’s inaugural event was a mega success. Texas Chapter is hosting its first International RANA event. This is a great way to network with members of the Biradari. NJ/PA Chapter Member Mahavirsinh Chudasma is the Convener and we have several other members that are actively participating. Exactly 2 weeks away from the annual RANA camping trip.  So many exciting things on the schedule including a DOSA Party, Rathod Family Sponsored Chulha Party, Magnificent Mutton BBQ, Sunday Morning Breakfast Sponsored by Sadhna Singh and Pushpa Singh, Hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Pizza/Sandwiches Sunday afternoon at a Pavilion reserved by Mukesh Parmar at Pine Grove Furnace State Park (includes boating, fishing and biking), trip to Gettysburg Outlet Mall, Late night campfires, catered dinner from a local restaurant on Monday night and so much more.

Although we would love to see you for the duration of the camping trip, many will be coming for 2 days/1 night and staying in a local hotel.  There are options for this on the website.

Lokendra Singh Kalvi is in the US to make a presentation at the UN.  Kalviji has been a friend of RANA for many years.  He has attended 2 conventions in the past.  He is the Founder Patron of Shri Rajput Karni Sena, an organization of nearly a million Rajput youth.  He is also Chairman of Bharat Gaurav Foundation and the President of the Rajasthaan Shooters Association.

The RANA Canada Chapter hosted a well attended gathering in honor of Kalviji and the DC Chapter will be doing the same this weekend.  We will have the privilege of co hosting (with  NY Chapter) a gathering on Tuesday, June 20th at 7 PM at a restaurant to be determined.  Although it is a weeknight, please consider attending the event.  We will advise you of the location of the gathering within the next day or so.  For questions, please feel free to reach out to any member of the RANA NJ EC.

I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful spring season.

“Jungle Mein Mangel”  J. B. Singh used to say this fondly to describe camping.  This wonderful 4th of July event is fast approaching and we have an exciting trip planned this year.  Please find the attached flyer for more information.  You can register and pay with a credit card at www.RANA-NJ.org .  Prices include food.  The website for the campground is www.mountaincreekcamping.com/  There are so many amazing activities.

Although we are still in the process of planning, here is a glimpse of what we have planned:

One night, Men will do the cooking for dinner.

July 2nd, Picnic at Pine Grove Furnace Park, Lurral pavilion.  This is a park that has a lake with a beach, boat rentals and bike rentals.  Long distance hiking trails.

One night, Dinner will be Catered.  Everyone can relax and enjoy

Our sites are all together in a semi secluded area. This will give us some privacy for our evening activities.  We have a lot of interest this year and we are expecting it to be sold out.  There are a limited number of campsites, so please register quickly.  Here is a partial list of those that have already registered and paid:

For those that want to make day trips and those that dont want to stay in a tent, there are options.  There are many hotels in the area.  So you can enjoy interacting with your Biradari and dont have to stay in a tent or the entire 3 days.  A few members have already made reservations at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Carlisle, PA.  The options and pricing rare available on the website www.RANA-NJ.org .

We had a memorable kickoff to the New Year of RANA NJ Chapter activity with the Holi Samroh. Compliments of General Secretary Jay Gohil, Pictures are up at http://www.rana-nj.org/2017-holi-rana/
For fundraising, a beautiful Calendar memorializing accomplished Rajputs was distributed to all attendees of the Holi Celebration. This was a brilliant idea of Naivedya and Anupriya Sengar. We hope this will be an annual tradition of RANA NJ Chapter. Fundraising Secretary Rajendrsinh Vaghela did an awesome job with fundraising for this event.

The evening started out with the Aarti led by many of the senior members of our Chapter. We were blessed by the attendance of elders, Dr. Jaswant Singh, Dhiraj Uncle, Bhanubha Auntiji, Rathod Uncle, Dr. Nagendra Nath Singh, Asha Auntiji Rajesh Uncle, JB and Pushpa Singh.

Our new Chapter President, Dilipsinh Rathore was introduced. He made a heartwarming welcome and introduced the new members of the NJ Chapter Executive committee. He described details of forthcoming events such as Camping, Diwali, Gandhi Community Service day and New Years Bash.

The MC for the festivities was talented Raghu Singh and the wonderful entertainment was Organized by Cultural Secretary Minaxi Singh. We were treated by our Youth dancing, singing and singers Vijaya Singh and Raghu.
A whopping 10 New Members were introduced and they all made a brief statement. Perhaps this is the largest number of new members attending a RANA NJ gathering. A wonderful achievement by new membership secretary Mukesh Mahida.
Naivedya Sengar described the exciting RANA NJ Youth Ambassador Program. More information will be forthcoming.

Republican Gubernatorial Hirsh Vardhan Singh made a moving appeal for support. Many RANA members stepped up and enthusiastically voiced their support for Hirsh.
The night was capped off with group dancing and garbha to the tunes played by the fabulous DJ.

All in all, a wonderful event. It could not have been possible without the participation of our members. Thank you for your support.
